COMPLETED CONSULTANCIES AND CONTRACTS

2003-2019: Department of Communities - Team Leader. Leadership of quality evaluations of disability sector organisations. 

2016-2018: Mental Health Commission - Team Leader. Leadership of evaluations of WA mental health service organisations.

2018: Adventist Care Disability Services - Evaluation of this supported accommodation service against best practice criteria, with a set of quality improvement recommendations developed. Findings presented in a written report and presentations to management and the Board.

2006-2017: University Associate (contract), Curtin University. Various disability research projects. 

2016: Sunflower Care Services - Management consulting. 

2015/16: Disability Services Commission – Accommodation Transition Project. Ongoing consulting services, engaged as required. Analysis of client and service provider information, and development of a shortlist of suitable service provider options for stakeholders’ consideration in the transition of Commission group homes to the non-government sector. 

2011: Disability Services Commission – Analysis of 2009/10 Self-Assessment Data. Qualitative analysis of all data returned by disability services organisations. Findings presented in thematic and graphical form in a written report to the Commission.

2011: Nulsen Incorporated – Evaluation of the Nulsen Community (Alternatives to Employment) program. Evaluation of this program against best practice criteria, with a set of quality improvement recommendations developed. Findings presented in a written report and presentations to management and the staff team.

2011: City of Canning – Evaluation of the Disability Services Program. Evaluation of the City’s disability services (supported accommodation and respite programs), with reference to best practice criteria, and development of quality improvement recommendations. Findings presented in a written report to management.

2010: Family Support WA – Program Evaluation. Evaluation of the organisation, with particular reference to quality issues raised in a previous Standards Monitoring process. Findings presented in a written report, and in person to the Board of Management.

2010: Inclusion WA – Program Development. Strategic planning sessions with management, and workshop sessions with management and staff, in order to raise awareness of key quality issues and to commence implementation of quality improvement measures.

2009-11: ACTIV – Review and Development of the People, Skills and Community Program. Planned and implemented over three phases, this wide-ranging project entailed a detailed program evaluation, extensive engagement with stakeholders, and a range of program development initiatives including training, planning and implementation workshops with staff, and strategic planning sessions with management. The outcome of Phase 1 was the presentation of a comprehensive evaluation report.

2008: Identitywa – Review of the Accommodation Services’ Individual Needs Planning System. Review of existing policies, process and practices against best practice criteria. Findings presented in a written report and presentations to management and a broad stakeholder group. In addition to other processes, stakeholders were engaged through participation in a one-day workshop.  

2007/08: Baptistcare – Review of the Partners in Purpose Program. Evaluation of service provision, development of a quality framework to provide the evaluation criteria, and development of recommendations for quality improvement. Findings presented in a written report and presentations to management and a broad stakeholder group.
